We run workshops designed to introduce (and refresh) the essential skills that any off-piste skier or snowboarder need to survive in the mountains. The aim of the workshops is to help you become safer and more independent.
These workshops cover a huge amount of information and are physically and mentally demanding.
2011
For winter 2011 we are happy to be working with Jeff Banks to offer Level 1 and Level 2 AIARE courses. AIARE is the American Institute for Avalanche research & Education.
The standardized AIARE curriculum is the gold standard in avalanche courses. Developed by IFMGA guides from the USA, Canada, & Switzerland over 15 years, the program integrates the latest research with time on snow making leadership decisions.
Jeff Banks is a qualified AIARE Instructor with many years experience in the backcountry.
