Choosing a ski tour based on conditions.Day of the Tour (Sample Itinerary)
7am - Meet and load up the cars
9am - Arrive at Super St. Bernard Ski Area.
9-10 am - Some warm up off piste runs as the cable-car allows quick access to some truly spectacular skiing terrain.
10-11am - Now we’ll make our way over to the famed St. Bernard Monastery. This is where skinning techniques will be introduced and practiced. Then lunch at the Monastery in the comfort of the peaceful refectory.
12am - Head up one of the nearby summits, about a 2 hour climb which gives us a good chance to hone efficient skinning techniques. We’ll also spend some time analysing the snow conditions.
2.30pm - once at the top of our chosen summit or col we will look at different safe descent strategies before we enjoy a long ski back to the lifts. If time allows we’ll finish off with a few runs from the top before the lifts close.
4.30pm - time to take our tired legs home.
