Adam Kelly Snowboards off Mont Blanc!

Adam Kelly's Mont Blanc Adventure

The end of season has seen huge snowstorms throughout the Alps!

Our last Haute Route group of the season found themselves snowed in at the Dix Refuge for 2 days, 1 metre of snow meant all touring came to a standstill.

Guide Jeff Banks also got snowed in over in the Berneses Oberland, where an avalanche swept away the huts terrace railings and cut off the food store from the main hut! A few hours of shovelling sorted out the problem but conditions where so unstable the group were forced to stay on for extra nights.
