South Retezat National Park Tour (2 days)
What better way to discover rewilding than by living it directly?
Out2Trek isn't just about hiking; it's about immersing yourself in the mountain environment and creating memories that will last long after the trip ends. Our tours are about more than just nature; they're about sharing meals, sitting by the fire, and fostering a positive atmosphere. Day 1: In our upcoming tour, we'll begin our journey with a climb to Scorota sheepfold, where a local shepherd will welcome us with a hearty meal of polenta and cottage cheese. From there, we'll continue to the Iepii saddle and ascend to Piule peak 2081m. In the evening, we'll gather at the Buta Hut, where we'll share stories by fire and enjoy a homemade goulash. Day 2: The next morning, we'll rise early and set our sights on Custura Peak 2457m, one of the most beloved peaks in the Retezat massif. After a day of hiking, we'll return to Buta Hut for a delicious soup. Our tour will conclude with a 9 km descent to Buta's Gorge, where we'll say our goodbyes and start looking forward to our next adventure. Whether you're a returning friend or joining us for the first time, we can't wait to share this Out2Trek experience with you. IMPORTANT: This is a two days experience. The price per person depends on the number of persons / seats. PLEASE SELECT: => The correct price level (depending on nr of persons) => The number of persons (seats) => 2 days in the calendar

How your experience helps rewilding efforts
Our tour in the Retezat Mountains is designed with the principles of rewilding at its core. We aim to immerse our guests in the natural beauty of the area while minimizing our impact on the environment. Firstly, we strictly adhere to the 'leave no trace' policy, ensuring that we respect the natural habitats we explore and leave them undisturbed for the wildlife that calls them home. Secondly, our tours are educational. We provide information about the local flora and fauna, emphasizing the importance of biodiversity and the role each species plays in the ecosystem.
