đ˛Discover the Rewilding Forests of Sierra de AlbarracĂn
What better way to discover rewilding than by living it directly?
Discover the perfect route for families and nature lovers! đż This route is comfortable and easy, ideal for kids. Itâs also highly recommended in summer, as the shade of the pine trees will be our travel companion. âď¸đ˛ We start our adventure at the parking lot on Canto Road, from where we venture into a deep and dense Scots pine forest. Here, itâs easy to encounter local wildlife such as deer, roe deer, and yew, which feel comfortable in this natural environment, sometimes we forget that itâs their home. đŚđż Although itâs difficult to spot birds due to the forestâs density, itâs common to find woodpeckers that will surprise us with their melodies. đś A visit to the CerritĂłn Lagoon is a must on this route, a magical place where nature shows its beauty. From the lagoon, weâll head to the âgotialesâ or springs, peatlands where water emerges and fills the landscape with small streams. đ§ Weâll continue our route, crossing the RĂo del Puerto, which is still a newborn, and visit the Fuente de la Huerta. In just a few minutes, weâll be back at the car, with unforgettable memories of this enchanting route. đ⨠Get ready for the adventure! đ

How your experience helps rewilding efforts
đ At Bronchales Experience, we believe that the best way to protect natural spaces is by explaining the importance of our forests and animals, as well as their roles in the circle of life. Thatâs why we work to raise awareness and collaborate actively and closely with Rewilding Spain, who are working to restore the landscapes and ecosystems of the Iberian Highlands.
Iberian Highlands | Spain
The removal of dams and artificial barriers is restoring the natural flow of rivers and streams across the Iberian Highlands. This is revitalising aquatic ecosystems, allowing fish and other freshwater species to move freely and regain their abundance.
