The Power of Nature A Women Only Rewilding Adventure

What better way to discover rewilding than by living it directly?

Step into the wild heart of Abruzzo, Italy, where rugged mountains, ancient forests, and untamed rivers create a sanctuary for both wildlife and the human spirit. This women-only nature retreat is designed for those who crave connection – with themselves, with nature, and with a circle of inspiring women.

For five transformative days, you’ll get to know this area, and the people you are travelling with, in a profound way. For two nights, we’ll stay in a remote mountain hut, surrounded by the rewilding landscapes of Abruzzo National Park. Here, bears roam freely, eagles soar overhead, and the earth hums with quiet power. Led by passionate female guides and hosts, this retreat blends mindful exploration, wildlife encounters, and heartfelt community experiences – all while enjoying nourishing food, deep conversations, and the magic of the wild.

This is not just a trip, it’s a celebration of nature, sisterhood, and the strength that comes from both.

HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR RETREAT

A Sanctuary in the Wild – Spend three days in a cozy, remote mountain hut, nestled in the heart of Abruzzo’s rewilding area. Wake up to birdsong, mountain views, and the scent of beech trees.

What to Bring

To make the most of your mountain adventure, pack light but smart. Days in the Abruzzo wilderness in June can be warm under the sun yet cool and fresh in the evenings, especially at higher altitudes. Bring layered clothing, including a warm fleece or jacket, comfortable hiking boots, and a waterproof shell for unexpected rain. A small daypack is essential for carrying water, snacks, and your packed lunch on field days. Don’t forget reusable bottles, sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses for long hours outdoors. Since the Terraegna refuge runs on solar power, electricity is limited, so pack a headlamp or torch and consider a power bank for small devices. Finally, bring along personal toiletries, a towel, and any essentials you can’t do without, while leaving room to enjoy the simplicity of life in nature. Bedding is provided at the refuge and in the hotels/ guest houses.
