Carpathian Wildlife Hides Escape - Făgăraș mountains

Spend two unforgettable nights in the wild heart of the Făgăraș Mountains, observing bears and other Carpathian wildlife from our wildlife hides.

What better way to discover rewilding than by living it directly?

Choose to stay at one hide for both nights or experience both locations. Venture deep into the heart of the Făgăraș Mountains and spend two nights at our remote Bunea and Comisu wildlife hides, surrounded by some of Romania’s most spectacular wilderness.

This experience offers the chance to observe some of Europe's most important species in the wild, in their natural habitat: European brown bears, European bison, deer, stag, wild boar, wolf, lynx, capercaillie, as well as many species of birds and mammals. Depending on availability and your preference, you can spend both nights at the same hide or combine the two locations, with one night at Bunea Wildlife Hide and one night at Comisu Hut.

The experience takes place deep in the Făgăraș mountains: there are no roads, shops electricity or phone reception nearby, allowing you to disconnect from everyday life and focus entirely on the surrounding wilderness.

Your stay includes accommodation in the wildlife hide, all meals, drinks, English-speaking specialized guide and transfers to and from the meeting point and the support of our experienced local team.

Every booking helps support Foundation Conservation Carpathia’s work to protect the Făgăraș Mountains and establish one of Europe’s most important national parks.
