Itinerary

DAY 1 15H-23H Arrival at Côa Honeycomb accommodation for check-in (possibility of dinner on request) DAY 2 09H-10H: Breakfast at the accommodation 10H-12H: Visit to rewilding area Ermo das Águias with Wildlife Portugal 13H-14H: Lunch in the countryside with products from the Wild Côa Network on the river beach of Vale de Madeira 14H30-17H: Beekeeping workshop and time to socialise with the region’s traditional indigenous domestic animals in the Côa Honeycomb 17H30-20H: Travel to Guarda and dinner at Nobre Vinhos restaurant 20H30: Overnight in the local accomodation Casal da Gata DAY 3 08H-09H: Breakfast in the accommodation 09H30-12H: Morning with guided visit and wildlife observatory experience in the Paul de Toirões with Wildlife Portugal

This experience is provided by Rewilding Portugal, an NGO that is part of Rewilding Europe's range of landscapes and has been developing strong rewilding efforts in the Greater Côa Valley region in Portugal since 2019. All profits from these tourist experiences are directly invested in their conservation and ecological restoration projects.

This visit is guided by Fernando Romão, a rewilding-specialized guide from Wildlife Portugal, that will present you all of the rewilding actions and impacts on the ground.
