Danube Delta, Nature, Beach & Stories at the End of the Danube\n\nIn summer, the Danube Delta takes on a special energy. The water sparkles under the sun, birds are constantly on the move and the beach of Sulina become the perfect invitation for a touch of relaxation. We designed this program especially for July and August, blending nature exploration with laid-back moments by the sea.\n\nWhat’s included in the tour?\n\nAccommodation: 3 nights in the heart of the Danube Delta, at Mila 23, in a guesthouse offering authentic comfort and traditional local cuisine. Half-board included (breakfast & dinner), plus boat transfers from Tulcea and back.\n\nTwo full days of guided excursions (led by the most reputable team of guides in the Danube Delta), each with its own charm:\n\nExcursion to Letea – The route crosses the northern lakes of the Delta, the least altered by humans, where nature has preserved its wild balance. You’ll arrive in the village of Letea and continue by car to the famous Letea Forest – a unique place in the world, where centuries-old oaks intertwine with climbing vines like in a tropical jungle and wild horses roam freely across the pastures or rest in the forest shade.\n\nExcursion to Sulina – This route also takes you across lakes, offering the chance to discover much of the Delta’s breathtaking biodiversity and observe a wide variety of birds. Once in Sulina, you’ll have time for lunch, an afternoon on the beach and/or exploring the city – a place full of history and stories, right at the mouth of the Danube.\n

What to Bring
HOW IS IT RECOMMENDED TO DRESS IN DANUBE DELTA, for the requested period, considering that our boats are uncovered: - Raincoat - this must accompany you permanently in the Danube Delta! - Hardshell jacket (lightweight, waterproof, windproof). It doesn't keep you warm, base and mid layers are essential with it - Softshell jacket (waterproof, warm, comfortable) - Down jacket (lightweight, warm) can be worn as a midlayer - Body blouse (provides warmth and comfort while keeping your skin dry) - Long pants. - Sun cream with a high protection factor - the sun can be very strong and the reflection off the water makes the radiation levels higher than on land. - Sunglasses, especially those with polarized lenses are highly recommended, they will cut the reflection of the water and your eyes will be rested at the end of a day on the water. Creams, solutions against mosquitoes *throughout your stay it is important to stay hydrated, that's why it is necessary to always have water with you.
