BGRewilding ApenninesRewilding Apennines

➡️🌿 2026 dates: 13–17 May | 17-21 June | 14-18 October🌿⬅️

What better way to discover rewilding than by living it directly? This journey offers a series of field experiences specially designed to connect people with wild nature and the local communities living alongside it.

KEY PILLARS

Rewilding Apennines has designed these 5-day experiences to propose a deep-dive in the landscape of Central Apennines through the eyes of its team. The experience is structured around three key pillars:

1. Field actions

Building an electric fence, monitoring wildlife...

we directly contribute to the NGO actions!

2. Immersion in nature

Throughout the week, we navigate through the different ecosystems of our landscape, discovering its non-human inhabitants!

3. Meeting with local producers

People are at the heart of our actions and we want you to meet the ones who believe in our values!

THE PROGRAMME

The Rewilding Week program aims to deepen the understanding of human–wildlife coexistence in the Central Apennines by spending 5 days in the field with the Rewilding Apennines team. Together, we’ll learn how coexistence practices are implemented across this landscape. 🐺🤝🌱

Each day is about a main area of our actions, the programme is defined the week before in order to be aligned with the requirements of our field work.

Throughout this journey, we will meet the real keepers of these lands — people who have embraced our philosophy and helped us shape this unique experience. We’ll explore small mountain villages, local enterprises, natural monuments, and traverse some of the most remote areas of the Central Apennines. 🏞️

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE:

This is a 5-day experience (it is not possible to book fewer or additional days).

The total price is €840.

Itinerary

The Rewilding Weeks are carried out based on a schedule defined by the Rewilding Apennines team. Every season will be characterised by different field activities and priorities included in the experience. Each day will focus on a key area of rewilding in Central Apennines, mixing hands-on activities (we believe that it's through our own bodies involvement that we can deeply understand what it takes to rewild!), walks in the mountain and encounters with people who have embraced the rewilding vision of the territory. You will see an example of the programme in the pictures.

What's Included?

- Guide and organisation - Professional indemnity insurance - Nikon Prostaff 8×42 binoculars - B&B accommodation - Lunch and breakfast - Internal transfers

How your experience helps rewilding efforts

During Rewilding Week, each day is dedicated to a hands-on rewilding activity, such as building bear-proof fences, monitoring griffon vultures, constructing salamander underpasses, and more. You will actively participate in these vital conservation actions, directly contributing to the restoration and protection of wildlife and their habitats.
