The Brewers Cottage is a historic Victorian nature positive self catering holiday let on the edge of Tomich, a conservation village close to Glen Affric in the Scottish Highlands.

We can accommodate up to 4 persons over the age of 18 on a Saturday to Saturday on a non smoking basis.

The Brewers cottage has now been an established holiday let for almost 20 years, and prides itself on its approach to wildlife and nature. Our approach to welcoming wildlife has ensured our guests have amazing close-up encounters with nature.

Brewers Cottage guests comprise mainly of wildlife enthusiasts, photographers and wildlife artists, many of whom are hoping for that special encounter with an elusive pine marten. Through supportive feeding, selective planting and habitat improvement we welcome a vast array of birds, invertebrates, and mammals into the fold of our wee abode.

Here at The Brewers Cottage, we consider ourselves nature positive and are proud to support the rewilding efforts in the region. We actively encourage and welcome guests to engage with the wildlife which visits the cottage garden. Viewing and engaging with wildlife at close range has such a positive impact on one’s wellbeing, and builds a strong connection to nature and one-ness. We hope that the connection you form with the visiting wildlife whist staying at the cottage can be taken away with you and carried with you long after you leave, and that you are able to build the experience into your life journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept dogs ? Yes we do but a strict max of 2 with any stay Do You accept children ? Unfortunately we do not accept persons under the age of 18 Do you allow smoking ? No we are a non smoking, non vaping, non e- cigarette establishment Is heating included in the booking cost ? We provide timed background heating, there is also a log burner. Guests are welcome to use our supply of logs for a small donation per bag. Do you provide bed linen & towels ? Yes we prove the linen and guest towels. Are you open for bookings all year ? We are able to take bookings from mid February to mid November Do you offer short breaks ? No we operate a Saturday to Saturday booking only, however booking Saturday to Saturday facilitates late arrival and early departure. Will you be on hand to welcome us ? As we don't live in the area you will check yourselves in. Our caretaker will service the cottage prior to your arrival. We are only a phone call away if you have any issues. Do you charge a Good Housekeeping Deposit ? Yes we hold a deposit which ensures our property is not damaged and upon departure it is left in a 'as found' condition. Don't have staff on site ? No, as a guest you are staying in our home while we are not there, all we ask is that you kindly respect our neighbours and our property. Can you arrange transport ? We cannot arrange your transport, however we can help and advise you of your options, and we do provide the required directions. Do the pine martens come every night ? The wildlife is just that - wild so there are no guarantees but its amazing fun waiting and watching to see what turns up. How do I book ?
